‘Shichi-Go-San’ is a traditional rite of passage and festival day in Japan for three and seven-year-old girls and three and five-year-old boys, held annually on November 15 to celebrate the growth and well-being of young children.

I was so lucky to partake in my niece’s 3rd birthday celebration (7-5-3) together in Tokyo. Even though I was in Japan for only one day, on the way to New York from Australia, my super sister organised this event perfectly. I love this little girl so much so it was great to cerebrate together.
