Soyun & Seokyoung are from South Korea. They came over to Melbourne for their wedding to make Soyun’s dream come true – having a wedding at a winery in Melbourne. Her lovely brother and his wife, who live in Melbourne, organised most of their wedding. I didn’t meet the bride & groom until the day but it was no problem as Soyun’s brother and his wide provided great communication for us.
The day started early morning in the Melbourne CBD. We did a few location shots walking though the city and then went to Yering Station Winery where they had their ceremony & reception. Yering Station Winery was such a great choice. They were able to see the beautiful Australian countryside via a drive, as well as vivid Melbourne city. (Thanks to the experienced driver, he knew a great way to get the winery – so that we saw alpaca on the way!)
One of many things that I love about this wedding is to see the bond between Soyun & her bridemaids, who came to Melbourne from different places. Photographing their friendship was just amazing for me. I was so happy to see the reunion of Soyun and her girlfriends from across the world. A wedding is a rare opportunity for bride & groom to meet family, friends and all their favourite people together at one place. The fact that they gather for them makes the day even more special.
Congratulations, Soyun & Seokyoung! It was great meeting you. You are both truly lovely people. Thank you so much for letting me photgraph your wedding.
